What is it, exactly, that we want Danny to do?

You guessed wrong, my friend. I've been going to the" F Street" since 1987. And yes, I remember Kimmy. How could I forget? I happened to end up with her credit card in my pocket when I got back to JFK, after one memorable layover.
But, my point was...You condemned the owner of this establishment for something he had no direct control over. Without even hearing his response to the charges. That's wrong.
He offered to fire the offensive waitress. "Slice" said no? Are you kidding me? If I were Danny, I would now have to question exactly how bad the situation was. From reading the "skinny", I would have had her arrested.

How about amping it up a bit by writing a letter to the editor of the Anchorage Daily News:Letters | adn.com
That might get some attention!

Off-duty pilots getting decked in an ANC bar ... not much of a story.
Unless of course they were soon to report for a flight, which wasn't the case.

He actually said "what do you want me to do, fire her?" Initially I said yes. He then explained that she's worked there for years and asked if I could forgive her. That's when I said "I guess so". Not really an offer to fire her and asking me to forgive her so he wouldn't have to. A little different than your interpretation.

May I assume there are female pilots in ANC? Do they go to this dive bar? Anything happen to them? Are they treated differently?

Having said that...I believe that your lack of either pressing charges or, at the very least, asking him to fire her is a mistake. You say that it doesn't matter, because you're never going there again. Well, what about those that do go there again? Now, she and everyone else that works there will think it must be OK to slap a customer.
What did you ask him to do?
I don't think this should be discussed in a PM. Since this entire forum seems intent on burning the place down, now.

I know, It's me...but let me finish......thanks... I used to frequent PANC and in my early days F-St was a mainstay....but for the last 10 years I have not been in. And due to this thread I will not EVER return. Thank you Slice for bringing it to the forefront. PANC has so much more to offer, let F close up and move along. We will always find a home in PANC, with someone that loves us...Brown, Purple, or otherwise.....

My misinterpretation was based on your earlier post. Sorry. That is a horse of a different color.

Not Slice, but party to the exchange unfortunately ...
If the owner would have admitted that his staff screwed up that night. He sorta' did in a round about way. That would be a start.
If he informed them how to deal with the situation more effectively next time. Even better.
They have possibly exposed him to legal action, he didn't seem overly concerned.
He seems content to brush it under the rug, am I wrong Slice ?
I guess what I am saying, on any given night, if you happen to be the one knocked on your can at F Street, don't expect the staff to handle it any differently than our experience.
THAT is what I am NOT OK with !
