Exactly, don't lump him in with these turds!

I know Slice, and while there are two sides to every story he is not only a fellow cargo dog, but a fellow officer and fighter pilot too. He described the situation and I take his word for it.

I'm not in ANC as much as you guys, but I'll spread the word. I also know both F-22 commanders up there--I'll pass it on to them too.

I just called them and they acknowledged everything that happened. I asked them what they were going to do about it and a girl named Marty said, "nothing". I won't be in there again. She also said they have had a bunch of calls but it sounds like they don't give a $&**(.

This is great being the judge, jury and executioner. Get the torches! Grab those pitchforks! You there, get a rope!

Has anyone actually heard back from the guilty side? Has anyone thought that maybe the guilty hockey kid's mom may wear lipstick?
BB, too much chardonay? I'm guessing you've never been there so let me enlighten you. Anybody who's been the the F St, will believe this and has their own stories to go along. Anybody remember Kimmy? Excuse me Kimmy, could I have another beer or should I just go ******* myself? Nice of you to pitch into the fight though

Hey Guys,
Thanks for all the support so far. G has been on here to read it and appreciates it too. He's still a little jacked up with lower back pain. I'm sure he'll be fine in a week or two. Sucks getting old, I guess.

I dropped in and spoke with Danny today. Seems like a nice enough guy. I explained the situation to him. He had some of it right but the staff obviously canted the story to their side a little. He was surprised to find out I was the one that dialed 911. He apologized for the situation and treatment. He asked me if he wanted me to fire the waitress that slapped me. Initially, I said yes. I agreed to 'forgive' her before I left. I did so because I won't be going there anymore so it doesn't matter if she works there. I would hate to find a new bar and put up with her **** elsewhere! So, while our conversation was cordial, the end result was basically no changes were going to come as a result of it. I won't ask people to boycott the man's business. You can make your own decisions based on my experience and that of others here. He confirmed that there were a lot of calls received today. So, again thanks for the support. If the unions could only show this much pilot unity...

Too late. Just talked to the cocky little @#$% 20 minutes ago. Danny and his "staff" need to have a little talk.

You're too nice of guy Slice -someone who slaps a customer instead of dialing 911 should be fired in my view but I also understand your point of view... I'll stay away from F Street from now on...

I concur ...

Slice spoke with the owner today. I was a late arrival and only caught part of the discussion.

The owner's reaction, in summary ...

It's a bar, crap happens...

Drunk kids (and the owner personally knows the kid and his family) do stupid things

He stood up for his entire staff. Which I don't exactly fault him for ... but it doesn't make it right. Just makes him a good boss.

He apologized, No one will be fired, they have received numerous calls ...

He didn't deny the lack of provocation (he watched the security tapes), but he didn't think the hit was all that hard ... whatever.

For me the place was just convenient to the Hilton. Nothing more, nothing less. So it is not going to hurt to avoid the place ...

As always ... YMMV

You guessed wrong, my friend. I've been going to the" F Street" since 1987. And yes, I remember Kimmy. How could I forget? I happened to end up with her credit card in my pocket when I got back to JFK, after one memorable layover. However, I haven't been to Anchorage, in over a year now. No Bus trips, there.

But, my point was...You condemned the owner of this establishment for something he had no direct control over. Without even hearing his response to the charges. That's wrong.

He offered to fire the offensive waitress. "Slice" said no? Are you kidding me? If I were Danny, I would now have to question exactly how bad the situation was. From reading the "skinny", I would have had her arrested.

How about amping it up a bit by writing a letter to the editor of the Anchorage Daily News:Letters | adn.com

That might get some attention!
