I won't go to ANC till I'm excessed.
I called anyway......they didn't seem to care. It was obvious that I wasn't the first. I think they think this is a short-lived trend and that it won't last...
The gal said we only got one side of the story.
I told her I only needed one side of the story....the pilot one was good enough for me and that I would not patronize their establishment.
Is it ok to send an over 60 guy there though?

To bad she didn't slap him on both sides of the cheek. Then we would have gotten both sides.
In a way, the owner is a victim of his thug staff. Either he couldn't or wouldn't hire better. New staff would be a reason to lift the ban.

I'll be in ANC a couple of times next month. I will NOT be in the F St.

Just being the devil's advocate here but wouldn't a new staff also lead to a bunch of p!$$ed off boyfriends/husbands and their friends "hawking the fight" for a little payback? This can escalate into a huge p!$$ing contest or we can let it vent off for a while.

Anyone care to read my review on Fodors.com? I comment honestly about many of the places that I have been. Not everyone gets to travel and eat in restaurants in 30+ countries. I encourage everyone to share their thoughts online on the many websites that specialize in that type of thing.

Best course of action is for everyone to just stop going. But I don't think they will be coming back after a "vent off" as you call it. They have bars like this everywhere. We usually choose to avoid them.
Do you want to go there and feel unsafe?

Yeah, there's really very little emotion in this for me. I'm not angry anymore. I'm also not excited that this is going to cost him business. It's the reason I held off posting the first few days. Just presenting the story so others can watch their ass if they decide to hang there and if they do have trouble it's not due to walking in uninformed like we were prior to Friday night.
If I have this straight:
1) You report here that your bud got suckerpunched and that not only was the staff not helpful to you guys, but one of them then hit you.
2) You thought this (rightfully so) warranted police action at the time.
3) You thought this (rightfully so) warranted involvement with the owner.
4) You talk to the owner, and from what I can tell, the whole incident is on frickin video and collaborates your version and he admits he knows who punk #1 is.
And you are not further involving the police with said evidence why??? And now you think rallying around the troops to boycott the place is not a good idea why??? You are killing me!!!
Am I the only one completely confused?

Danny should not have asked Slice if he wanted the girl fired. That is spineless and puts the onus on Slice to fix this guys bad personal decision.
Slice may not have wanted the girl prosecuted because that may mean he has to testify at her trial.
DO get a copy of the video tape - if it shows the girl slapping Slice, he should sue this guy - its like lotto. His insurance will pay.
Seems like Danny was a tool and didn't want to fire someone - it is hard to do but he should have fired her immediately without seeking Slice's input.
