Default FDX Fuel Sense "My History"

Anyone looked up his/her individual savings for the year with the new fuel sense " My History" chart. I think we need to work into the next contract a cash return percentage of our yearly fuel savings!

CAL did this back in the day and had more than a couple of Captains lose sight of safety while chasing the extra dollars. Instead, I'll reference my fuel savings as we present our next set of contract openers.

My initial thought on this initiative was very positive, but perhaps I've been hanging around this board too much as this latest email sort of reminded me of a veiled threat. Again, it's probably from reading posts from some of our more skeptical participants here.

I dont think it was even veiled in the FCIF. The company is tracking your fuel saving individually, and they want you to know it.

I've always wondered if they've ALWAYS done this??? As computer oriented as FDX is ... they seem to track everything else?

Sorry, I misspoke. It's actually FCIF 08-0524 (Vital), and again I say, although I'm not convinced there's mischief afoot, there certainly is the potential.

I just checked mine and was at least 2,000 lbs over on all the +8 hour flights. So the question is; is it my flying or is the planned fuel too low.

I think the solution is to fly a lot slower on the +8 hour flights. We all know this saves the most gas.
