It's the FedEx way. I flew with an ex-United guy who was helping put the 757 program together. FedEx wanted to build their own program. United offered their FAA approved program for $80,000 bucks and 4 type ratings to get our guys going. (Not sure what the cost of the 4 types was going to be) But, as of the day I flew with this guy FedEx has spent almost $2,000,000.00 on designing their own non certified program.

Aren't these guys that are going to 777 training now with the promise of a flex/standards job working in opposition to the efforts of the NC to get a 777 pay rate? Didn't those guys learn anything from the 757 stand-up fiasco?
I say let's negotiate 2 different pay scales; one for folks that go to training after we get a pay scale and another for the independent contractors that tried to take care of themselves at the expense of the rest of us?
