So that gives them a pass on stabbing the crew force in the back. I get it now.

Our problem is guys agreeing to train on the 777 while our Union is trying to negotiate a pay rate for it.

Well, since no one has flown it, and the guys that have gone through the training are still flying their original equipment why jump on their backs now? With the strike at Boeing it will be years before anyone actually flies it. The program is just being put together by a very select few. I'll put Steve McCabe up against anyone at this company when it comes to doing the right thing for the crew force.
Most of these first guys are great guys. One Cuban I'm not sure about though

The best thing with this post is that BoyCaptain will never fly the 777 and stay out of my way. Enjoy domestic crap "Boy"

Man when you were a 72 Capt you trained on the Bus for NB rates. Why did you do that? These guys won't do IOE for a long time and wouldn't get any jumbo/ULR pay rate until then. Lets not be so quick to judge, we'll get a pay rate before the 777 gets here.

If when the company came to them and asked them be on the initial cadre, they should have told the company they would be honored to train, AS SOON AS THE COMPANY NEGOTIATED A PAY RATE WITH THE UNION. If they had done that, we would probably have the 380 rate already. But, since guys are willing to do it without a rate negotiated, and guys put it on their standing bid and will bid it next month, there is no reason for the company to pay a higher rate.

Screw it.
