1000lbs. of what, household?
School costs will wipe out the paycheck.

10000 for deposit on what?

I can see why this is not very popular

The company was surprised (I guess they didn't do the homework they promised us they did?) to learn that some (many?) apartments require sizable cash deposits prior to occupancy. So ... FedEx has agreed to loan the pilot this deposit, up to $10,000.

Like you say ... school is a huge deal. Unfortunately our negotiating committee chairman didn't have a problem with this since HE was already paying for private school in Memphis (thanks for that Bob!)

1000# of household goods!*? Ha! My wife has 1000# of shoes!

All-in-all ... the deal our negotiating committee agreed to and then did the "hard sell" to the crew force for ratification, is, quite frankly insulting. Hell, our SCP even stated in writing that, "Expat packages are for people with special skills." I guess that tells us where we stand in the company's eyes?

Default You have got to be kidding me

Dave Webb is a treacherous POS, he stabbed 4000 of his own pilots in the back, via his vote for the change in age 60.
He stabbed his own pilots and the rest of the industry in the back with his personal arrangement for the over 60 fe's to return to the front seat. HE DIRECTLY CAUSED THIS.

Now how can he even still be in office much less you guys listening to this traitor.

The FedEx over age 60 S/O's had the right to return to the front seat based on the contract that is in force. Dave Webb took a position to protect that contract. The issue of retroactivity was always the issue of already retired pilots right to return to their jobs. I you look at all the previous legislation on the issue they were all worded to prevent the return of retired pilots, not current employees.

Is it possible you all agree that Congress should be able to change the terms of the contract?

You know, from your first post I was under the belief that the Association put this DVD out. And from this second post, it still seems like that is what you are saying. Farther below someone said the company put it out. Which is it SkyPine?

As a UPS pilot this is noted for what will no doubt happen to us.

It looks as if your union didn't look closely enough at the costs either, maybe ( probably not) ours will learn and not make the same mistakes.

Good luck

The question is how hard did DW work to get the Oberstar exception for those still listed as "required crewmembers". Retroactivity is about being 60 or not on the day the legislation was signed.

Foxhunter knows what is wrong with his assumptions and conclusions.

He has been schooled over and over again.

He doesn't listen then reposts his nonsense again a month or two later.
