I may not have a lot of experience in the civilian world, but at least I have some when making my commentary. How much experience do you have in the military while you're popping off about retired Colonels champ?

One too many retired Colonels apparently. So noble of you to defend those who don't need defending by post after post sniping at guys, many of which are likely more experienced in both the military and the civilian flying world than you. But why consider that when you can relive whatever glory you attach to yourself. You made the choice to dress down several individuals, I made the choice to call you on it. While not perfect the seniority system does have it's moments...like now.

This thread stinks. I'm off to watch the redemption of Big Ten football. The SEC is overrated, the Big XII is hollow, and the Pac 10 is, well, the Pac 10.

So you can call me on something (imagined of course), but I can't call others on their mistakes? I'm not defending anybody Sideshow...I said (once again) that I don't care for the junior guys whining on the age 65 subject, that's all. Just because you're embarrassed by my calling you on having no military experience doesn't mean you have to get petty with your "seniority system does have its moments..." comments. I'm not reliving any "glory" moments anywhere in my posts, but it seems to me you have a deep-seated jealousy of former military guys by making those kind of remarks. I can't help you with that...

Oh...pardon me. So some of your excerpts below were imagined. Like this one where I imagined you dismissing and belittling someone:

You poor abused little boy...a job with a top airline, when thousands are getting let go in the industry...and now you have to commute, be displaced, train in a new aircraft, and find a new crashpad.

Or this one where you show your true mental mettle:

I'm just holding the mirror bud, I can't help it if you don't like what you see.

And then this gem of intelligent dialogue:

...and no you don't have to clear your drivel through me...I trust you'll allow me the same courtesy?

And my favorite where you take the high road and set them all straight with a touch of your room temperature IQ retort:

Oh yeah?! Well you're off-base, out-of-control and out-hyphened!

I'll meet you on the playground after school tough guy!

B2P

(...seriously, you're missing some hyphens, Professor Hawking)

And if you haven't noticed, this isn't the military and you're not a Colonel with guys like Shaggy under your command. Go on and live in the past if it makes you feel better, as your tilting at windmills and countless guys here shows it's about all you've got left.

Having another "senior moment"?

Fine, I'll moderate myself and let it rest now.

I sincerely apologize to Shaggy, Archie, AV8tor Wannabe, Cactus, Sideshow and anyone else that has been offended by my sniping, baiting and name-calling. I'll just go back to my windmill...now where is that lance? Someone saddle my donkey!

Honest regrets to all...especially my UPS brethren.

B2....It's time to change your name. You're not a bomber pilot anymore. Don't live in the past.

Thanks for the apology and the moderation, they are both appreciated. Maybe we can close the thread now...

Seriously, I think you would have a different opinion if you were forced to ANC and then trapped for an undetermined period of time like many of us junior folks. I consider myself very fortunate to be here, but the thought of quitting UPS to avoid ever having to step foot in Alaska again goes through my mind almost every week.

FIT59....I'm near the bottom in ANC on the MD...If you're senior, quitting would be a great idea. Call me if you want help with your resume.

Default Now back to the thread...

FP,

I have talked to a lot of the managers, and we have lost a few over 60 guys on the -400 in training. I did FBS support with one and it was not pretty.
