I sincerely hope that the selfish pilots senior to me haven't ruined my opportunity to retire at age 60. I'm very (VERY!*?) worried that FedEx will attempt to change the reference to "normal age 60 retirement" in our contract.

So ... to answer your question, YES, I intend to retire at my self imposed age 60 retirement age (if there is a GOD!), and in fact, if we are able to amend our contract so that I can retire before age 60 without a penalty, I'll do that also.

You see ... I've planned for my retirement and look forward to spending time with my family and hobbies.

Or dead from living this lifestyle as a senior citizen.

Your assumption is in error. I have a long way to go until I am sixty.

We know these are REALLY selfish folks who failed to properly plan for retirement the first time ... what's changed?

Oooops ... I better knock it off before I get called an "age bigot" and refused a jumpseat
That would NOT surprise one bit. It's actually the standard MO of the 'baby boomer'/'me' generation. Everything's about them -- they are the first generation of Americans in history who will leave their children less financially well-off than the previous (or 'greatest') generation left them. I do find it a bit ironic that the 'greatest' generation gave birth to the worst generation, those who actually coined the term 'entitlement' as it relates to getting free stuff at the expense (and tax dollars) of others. Who stands in the way of fixing Social Security and Medicare? Largely the 'boomers who feel "hey, I want mine -- who cares if it adds exponentially to the national debt? my grandkids'll worry about paying THAT off!"

It's not that I don't appreciate what you've all done for us -- I do. But, really, haven't you done enough? I just don't know how much more we can afford to let you do.

FAVRE's go away!!!!

Ted everytime I see or smell (Brut) one of them I want to hurl. It's like grandpa go be with the little ones and get a life beyond flying crapy lines. The best ones are the idiots that complain that their seniority is not being honored in Alaska. Poor ND F/O's can't bid lines with even older Captains. Boo Frickty Hoo!!! Work you babies!!!

You and striker make me laugh. You write as if you are entitled to the upgrade, entitled to the money.
You bozos are making more enemies faster than any group of people I have seen in my life.

Keep it up
