Nobody knows... but if things go well, it might be a good time to introduce yourself to H.R.

Good luck partner!

I don't think our big brains in Atlanta (headquarters) have decided as of yet if we’ll be doing any hiring so this seems to be a 'just in case' job fair for our HR rep.

I agree with the previous poster - if you're off on that day it might be a good idea to say hi to the recruiter if we do start hiring again. They're still using a computer program for the initial selection however so I’m not sure if a job fair would necessarily help anyone in securing an interview.

It'd probably help once you get the call since the people you’ll see at the job fair are usually the ones conducting the interviews. Right now it looks like Sharnika will be the only rep. but they can always bring in some extra folks to help her out…

Good luck to you!

we're always looking for a few more manglement pilots. Heck we only have 27+ in our MD program alone! Someone needs to type out those AOM revisions.

Just a few more and it would be one mangler per airframe !

Default Air Inc

Just wanted to let all of you know that last year I went to the Air Inc seminar to specifically speak with the UPS staff - IAD. We all had our resumes and/or packages ready to hand them and hopefully get some insight as to where we stand. The UPS people were VERY nice, but they would NOT accept anything that we brought with us. They didn't look at our packages, but did give us the chance to ask them any questions - remember there were 300 people behind me - so time was limited to just a few minutes. They stressed that all the information is in their online system. So, if you want to have a friendly chat for two minutes it might be worth it. But, they can't give you any specifics on your case.

Not sorry that I went, but don't expect a mini interview.

Good Luck to all.

Why does UPS even show up then, if what they're telling us could be posted on a web site instead? Unless I can wear something unique enough for them to remember me by when hiring cranks up again

They show up to keep AirApps in business... Comair is furloughing, not much reason for them to show up either.

The reason they show up is that the H.R. folks are thinking "road trip"! There is no other way out of SDF for these folks.
