I've had UHC, Cigna, and now, BCBS.........The only minor emergency clinic in my small town will not accept BCBS......say that they are the WORST about not paying, so they stopped accepting BCBS.....great!

Ok, if you have an issue with your healthcare or Anthem/BCBS, please call the toll free number to the office and ask to talk to Janice or Ann, our two benefits specialists. They will help you out with your situation and hopefully get it resolved ASAP.

We used to use my wife's insurance when she worked because it was infinitely better. When we had a child she stopped work and we started using FedEx's plan. For awhile we had double coverage. Primary coverage is determined by birth month believe it or not. The earliest birth month is primary, and the other persons insurance is secondary. Age/ birth year does not matter. For instance, if you are born in April and you wife in November your coverage is primary and hers is secondary. I can't make this stuff up.

Mayday,
Similar problem for me. I get my purchases made at Costco, Albertsons and Rite Aid kicked back to me continuously requiring "additional info." It seems to be easier if I just pay for it up front with another credit card then fax in a "pay me back" form. This way they get their proof right up front and won't send you a notice two months down the road.

Not to interrupt the FDX wine and cheese party ...

After 4 airlines and NUMEROUS insurance companies (AWA was changing carriers yearly for a few years), I have determined that they all suck. Some more than other !

The only 2 that I can say gave me the least amount of hassles were a small unknown outfit called Great West and later UHC. But while I had no issues at the time, other crewmembers were fighting for payments and benefits.

Nearly everything described here is done to employees everywhere ... its just a matter of your number coming up !

You may now return to your Cigna / BCBS party ...

Yes, it's driving me crazy. I could understand their checking things that are possibly questionable but not routine things like Rx's and doctor's copays.

I just got one of the "should be paid by other insurance" letters in the mail yesterday. What other insurance? I rarely got these from Cigna, but get them regularly from BCBS. I did have issues with Cigna, but I'm not sure where the benefit is since we changed over to the new company.

CactusCrew, I agree, everyone has issues with their medical coverage, but we supposedly negotiated for this change, and frankly, I've been mystified as to the increased benefit.

Similar problem at Albertsons and my daughter's orthodontist. I think the issue is not the debit card's fault but the retail stores fault. The store ether complies with the IRS procedures or they don't. In my case albertsons didn't.

Yeah, similar problems with deny of payments to the docs. BCBS been dropping the ball. A lot of phone calls finally fixed it--I hope!! Do miss cigna at times.
