Just read something from our chief pilot (WOA) stopping Capts from being displaced to the DC-10. We had too many since we lost the 3 Delta birds and they were being displaced to the DC-10s we received from NWA. He said we possibily could be getting 2-5 MD-11s. I would hate to see them come from Gemini. Part of the statement included their crewmembers to come fly them too, on a temp basis.

Just a question. While I do not promote Beetlehog's flame-bait, your slam on Beeltehog's first post, and your quote "you should go far here" leads me to believe you are an APC regular. Yet, you only have 3 posts yourself. I'm not trying to be a moderator here, but I don't think it is fair of you with all of your 3 posts, to slam someone who has made thier first post.

Point taken. I'll try to make more posts to increase my credibility. It's probably my experience on another forum where flaming and anti-flaming go on with more frequency. I usually use the APC forum to read the more newsworthy info, and the folks are a bit more civilized here. I still have to stand on my position of not liking the "buzz" or "rumor has it" info as a prelude to some dropped bomb of information. Please realize that a lot of folks just lost their jobs at Gemini, and this sort of stuff is not needed right now. The sale of the MD-11's would shut the company down. Why do these guys seem to worry about every other airline but their own?
Was it right to slam someone after their first post? You are probably right that it was not. I'm not trying to scare the guy/gal away, just get it through that it's always better to give a source of information when you put this kind of stuff out.

Well, let's hope there are no more jobs shed here in the states due to Gemini selling their 11's. Hopefully these possible airframes are coming from one of the following:
Varig Log(sp?)
Transmile
Finnair
Just put in a recommendation for a friend @ GAC who wants to come to World, so hopefully our rec are still holding weight.
