Dear Former Employee........

You will not be recieving your unpaid wages from June 7, 2008 through
June 18, 2008 and for May, 2008 and June, 2008 adjustments.

Unfortunately, the Bankruptcy laws prevent the Company from paying you. You may claim reimbursement against the Company's bankruptcy
estate.

Now isn't that just wonderful? We get body slammed; then we get it
jammed up our a**es. What a bunch of LowLifes!!!Back to top

what a classy operation...NOT
hopefully this will keep future interviewee's away!!!!!!

What! Not paying due wages??? ***! I don't think being BK precludes you from paying due wages. The only freeze the judge places is on ASSETS.

This really ****es me off. We need to start a fund to help these guys. They are still operating, paying for the crews still flying, MX, etc. But yet they are hiding behind BK laws not paying what is rightfully the furloughed pilots.

That is just a rumor. Do you have any facts to base your statement on?

The 2 MD-11 ships at Varig Log (the last 2 they have) would make sense for WOA, and they are sister ships to the former KAL birds we already have, and are also P&W powered like the rest of our fleet.

I did read that GAC assets go to the auction block on August 11th according to their BK filing. I suppose that the lease holders will get the planes/engines back, then it is anybodys guess after that.

We can all hope that the good folks that work for GAC will find a better place to land. What GAC has done and is doing to their employees is just sooo wrong on several levels.

Having been there, done that, and got screwed out of a tee shirt, I can tell you that all wages and benefits earned prior to the BK can't and won't be paid until the BK is settled. If it makes you feel any better, the first $2,000 of wages owed are the first things to be paid.

The one piece of advice for my friends at Gemini is to make sure you file a claim with the court. Don't count on the company or it's lawers to do it. Also, keep your address up to date with the court as you move.

My BK list:

Bar Harbor/Eastern Express: I got $2,000 about 5 years after shutdown
Northeast Express: I got $0, but others got a couple of hundred
Buffalo Airways: They avoided BK (It would have been the owners 3rd trip) I got $0 and I'm still holding out for something

It's a product of not enough coffee in the morning.

MM: This isn't english 101, I hope your just kidding. Who cares if the grammar/spelling is wrong, just as long as the message is conveyed.

Back on topic, if the birds go on the auction block, and I hope they don't, and if WOA gets the birds, I'm sure they will give preferential interviews to our brothers at Gemini. At least I hope they will!

Anybody know what will happen to their 10's?

Jonny: Thanks for the correction on BK. I had no idea that was the case.

Well lots of people care about good grammar. All my elementary school teachers cared as well as my high school/college English teachers.

M-Mark contributes to this forum quite often as reflected by his 967 posts - or do you mean this thread as that is the proper term for a grouping of posts on a particular topic inside a forum?
