DP/DHL restructured, reorganized, and basically used every legal loophole in the book to twist and wrangle their way out of the DHL pilots (some 20 year DHL veterans) scope clause. They bought Airborne, but the required spin off of ABX air (because of the foreign ownership rules) allowed them to ignore the Airborne pilot's scope as well.
Now after obliterating all of the customer base of DHL AND Airborne Express through their inept management and inablity to allign the two operations, they will obliterate the careers of every DHL (now know as Astar) and ABX air pilot.
Another case where inept management continues to be employed, while all of the employees in the trenches suffer.
Amazing how DP(German government subsidized) can come in and buy two long time U.S. companies (DHL and Airborne) - take millions of incentives from state governments, then destroy the companies, put thousands of U.S. employees on the street, decimate a large portion of the southern Ohio economy, break all of the promises to state officials, and then go on their merry way - still expecting free access to do business in this country.
I wonder what would happen if a U.S. company acted in such an irresponsible way in Germany.

I've been to Auschwitz and Dachau and yes those executives are crooks and liars but they aren't mass murderers...
Just my take on it...
