You won't end up in ANC. You could probably bid ANC if you wanted. 2 guys junior to us took it from ONT on the last bid.

So will 2+ year seniority land me in ANC on the -400/MD? What if I ‘volunteer’?
Or will the over 60 guys get all the spots in ANC this time as well?
I’m thinking that a junior guy like myself would probably have a better schedule in ANC than in ONT? Have the ANC MD11 and/or -400 lines improved any? Are the lines commutable or do they still have 5-6 shows per month?
Just went through 75/76 recurrent and I think our fleet has a great training program; what’s the training like on the MD and the -400? Is it pretty straight forward or is it old school?
Also, if you recently moved to ANC – does your spouse (if you have one) hate ANC or does she/he find it ok?
Tx…

I think AV8OR WANNABE should bid ANC, he should have the blood for the long cold winters.

Not sure if the heat and humidity did that or maybe too much Absolut in the system but it's definitely thinner now...
Ok, -400 folks, how did you like the training?

Who knows, and who cares? I really don’t care. What I see is a person who is so unsure of what to do that the best advice is to stay put. If you want it, go for it!! As for your choice of Absolute…………..Good god man, crack open that wallet of yours and get something good like Gray Goose or Ketel. Absolute was for the high school days. I was going to jump seat for a little hunting trip. And man was those seats BOOKED!!! You might as well live up there. Otherwise, good luck with the jump and you would age about 5 years for every year you commute.

You're senior to me and I'm most likely ANC bound next month. I can tell you that when I landed this morning 5am looked like 5pm and it was 48 degrees. Hey, at least the gal to guy ratio sucks here...

I think the hardest training you can get is going from a steam gauge plane to the electric plane. I think going from a Boeing to a Boeing is not bad. Hit the books, put down the beer and make it.
