They have the ability to flush ANC to the proper size on this bid. Since its in excess. IF they felt it was overstaffed, they could've posted more excesses up there.

So... is this bid it? Are there any other seats to be downsized after this one?

I wouldn't be surprised if this is the last! Then maybe another vacancy to fill any open seats in HKG!

So the way I understand it, this should be the last excess? This was a bump and flush?

In effect, yes! I'm not sure what there would be to gain to do it again! Heck, every seat is covered.

Looking at the numbers on the first practice bid, they pretty much line up in seniority----and there are no (or very very little) net increases in seat positions at any seat/domicile. Exception: MEM 727 SO +many, many (makes you wonder HOW 50 seats were in EXCESS merely A WEEK AGO!!)

There may be a clean up excess (that will be small since most everybody is in the "right" positions) and maybe a vacancy for HKG (or an excess in HKG depending on which will get the "desired" people there)...... but it shouldn't be a big shakeup from what is going to end up on this bid.

All part of the grand plan. Bids posted, canceled. Excess that really wasn't. 1 excess postings that really mean everyone who is senior can move at will and junior guys are about to get flushed.

It's all there to be understood if you have the decoder ring. It's not a secret.

SENIORITY IS EVERYTHING.

That is the guiding principle in any union and the leadership (who has this coveted seniority) will always steer the company to follow it. Don't like it? Want some other way to determine rank? Go ahead and work on that. Until it changes you will have to accept it as a fact of life.

Our leadership has the "coveted seniority"?

Our MEC officers have seniority numbers of:

DW -- #401 Senior
DM -- #1924 Mid-Seniority
WR -- #3065 Lower Mid-Seniority

I wouldn't say that our leadership is real senior. Of course, we'd have to ask FDXLAG, to be accurate.
