DW's fuzzy math
Anybody have the real number of seniors going back to the left seat. I highly doubt it is just "around 100".
I said this before. As soon as the politicians voted for age 65, I called my state senators and congressman. I was able to talk to two of the aides. Both said the same thing. FAA still opposed the rule change. Since ALPA was endorsing age 65, the politicians voted it through. Thanks ALPA. I know this excess bid would still happen regardless, but there wouldn't be as many pilots affected. I wouldn't be as upset if the majority of pilots wanted age 65 but the majority didn't. If Prater runs against a donkey next time, the donkey has my vote.

I just downloaded the Nov 07 Bidpacks for the 10 and 27. I looked at the names and seniority numbers and since I know some of these folks are for sure over 60, I went down to their name. B727- the 72nd S/O is over 60.
DC10 - 126th S/O is over 60. The names in between are in the majority of over 60. So 126 + 72 = 198. Subtract 30% of those folks who maybe are under 60 (which I doubt), and you get 139S/O's who are over 60. Someone please check out the names and see if I am close. Thanks
