For those of you like me that will be going from the left seat to the right, there is not a training program set up of that. The only time they ever do this is when someone fails to upgrade and then all they get is a W/U and PC. (think Special Ed) Once you have been out of the seat for more than 3 or more months (not sure on how long) they need to treat you like you have never been in that seat. Just look at all the over 60 guys, they have been out for awhile and will get the whole program. As for the 11, if you look at the training website, the upgrade show no different they anyone else.

Let the fun begin!!!

"I thought vacation bids went according to the seat you are currently active in?"

Almost true, with the exception of 7C2. "A pilot's crew position for a vacation bid shall be the crew position he holds at the close of such bid. However, a pilot who has been awarded, but has not yet been activated in, a new crew position as a result of a base closure shall bid vacation in his new crew position."

So a Subic Captain can bid F/O on this latest excess, bid vacation as a senior F/O, then on the subsequent excess bid back to Captain,....hmmm. Yeah, that's the ticket!

Let em open the ANC Sim. Are they going to send up all the people to do ground school? What about the FTD are they going to move one of those to ANC also? Last time I checked the majority of guys doing off-site training were only away from MEM for 2 weeks. The rest of the training was in MEM.

Anyway if the first practice bid is anywhere close to reality I will be doing 727 Capt training. Haven't seen one of those in ANC yet!!

Time to buy that house in ANC so I can take full advantage of the move package

I don't think you need to buy a house in ANC. I believe (but not sure per Contract) that they have to buy any house if you are willing to move to MEM. That is the catcher. good luck and i think it is time to file a grievence on the loss of our rights as under 60!!!!
