Hey Albie,

Let's look at this from the safety point of view. A guy with only 4 day's off a month has got to be showing the wear somewhere. Let's just hope it's not in the flare or on a 630,000 # takeoff. Likewise, the instructors that are working 25 - 28 day's a month. Exactly what are they really providing their students. We all want a little extra money every now and again... but working that many day's in a month can't be all that safe.

Not to mention guys on reserve having to go to the sim to get landing currency because they're not flying... (here's an extra checkride for ya pal) maybe there's a compromise in here somewhere?

Default Can I have input from a moderator?

Gee......seems I got a silly little infraction for discussing ALPA's decision to explore Presidential Endorsement and the thread got closed. I complained and was told to do it by private message but not on the board. Because "we don't do politics here".

Now we have a bunch of rants against Bush......but that is okay......hmmmm now I see which way the wind blows here. Not that I am real happy with the guy....I just think what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

What gives?.....can I talk about any subject as long as I bring up the term "Open Time?"

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with either subject, just noting that the other thread was shutdown pretty darn quick.....indicating possible bias by the mods.

Ok, everyone that said something about Bush shall receive an infraction. The penalty is that you must read one of Bob Lavender's essays.....

Not buying the safety argument at all. If anything I bet the guy is pretty proficient in the airplane. Guarantee he is more so than I am after my month off due to excellent vacation bidding. Probably safer than having a ND up front after a week of night hub turns.

Trips that he is on are pretty easy also.

Who nows what his story is. Could be a single guy traveling the world and really has nothing better to do here in the states. Why not make a bunch of cash doing it.

Not for me, but nothing says he can't do what he is doing.

I think Bush says some things that are comical.

Does that help?

Have you read the forum rules? I think this may answer most of your questions unless you are venting a bit

If you want to get Moderator attention to a specific post then select the red&white yield sign in the bottom left hand corner.

Different moderators are sometimes going to see things from different perspectives.

Believe it or not the mods are actually trying to help keep APC a usefull, professional, and entertaining site for EVERYONE.

Come on mods, you have to admit that LJ has a valid point. He wanted to discuss the ramifications of our union endorsing a presidential candidate. Bam, thread closed, too political.

Here guys are bashing politicians and each other and you let it ride.

I'd rather have the rational debate about the policies of our union than listen to guys bash the President.

I too, agree with LJ's point.

However, the debate concerning our union's endorsment would most likely remain rational for only about 3 posts.
