Default FDX---R24/training question

I am down at the girlfriend's place without access to my contract, so some help would be appreciated.

I have a block of R24 days next month, 15-30 April. I also have recurrent ground and PT next month. What days can I bid for training without losing the entire block of R24 days? I've been told that any training session that lays over a day off won't drop that block, but I'd hate to find out the hard way that I'd been misinformed. Thanks.

The basic answer is, you can't split a block of R days. When you leave a R day on either side of training the entire block drops. You should be safe bidding any session that covers the days at the beginning or end of the block, you need to be careful when you bid into the block more than the number of training days. If the 12 hour buffer would drop the r day at the beginning or end of a block you could bid some sessions that are say covering 3 R days for only 2 days of training in this case.

Bottom line, if training splits a block, it goes into CIC. Bid carefully !

Since you posted here, you should be able to review the contract online through ALPA or VIPS.

Getting on VIPS or ALPA and accessing the contract via dial-up didn't sound all that appealing. Thanks for the tip, though.

Thanks, 2Cyl. Hopefully I'll get something workable and not have to drop my entire month of R24.

Or, you could call your wife and ask her to look up the required information.

Understand. Not being a smart-ass. Just letting you know in case you weren't aware that it was on VIPS....

Hey, I left a copy next to her cookbooks last time I was there. Should still be there.

This chick couldn't/wouldn't cook if her life depended on it, but I'll give you an "A" for effort.
