I think cookbooks was a euphemism for lavatory.

As I mentioned, she can't/won't cook and broadband might cut into our restaurant budget .

As far as cookbooks being a euphemism for lavatory, you lost me. I think I have a healthy dose of perv in me (required for an ATP, I believe), but that one's beyond me.
