FDX vacation - AGAIN.

FDX vacation - AGAIN.
I thought I had this figured out but I guess not.
I have 7 days of vacation (so 42 hours) starting on 7 April.
I have a reserve line with R-A day 11-15 April and 18-27 April.
For max days off using the 42 hours, I thought you EXPANDED the vacation which would knock two extra R days (42 divided by R-day value (4.6) = 9 days).
When I select expand on the bid-period processing, it says only lineholders can expand.
So, what do I do? I want to knock out 9 R-days, and keep the last 6 days (22-27 April). How do I make this happen?
Thanks,
AD

You should be able to extend your vac up to 10 days. That way you can knock out all those R days and then select the one day either 22nd or 27th to knock out also so you only sit 5 days reserve for the month. You are paid the same no matter what.
Good luck buddy.......

Its the "vacation extension" option right underneath. The expansion is for lineholders.

I just want to use my 42 hours and knock out 9 days. It sounds like I just do that in the remarks of reserve line reconstruction (or do I need to do something with the extension option, too)
Also, do I need to slide the vacation to the right so my first vacation day starts on my first day of reserve? Right now, my vacation starts on the 7th but I don't have an R-day until the 11th.
Thanks.

But EXTENSION taps into your vacation bank for another 6 hours, so they would charge me 46 vice 42 hours.

7-15 will be vacation and you are responsible for 6 days at the end of the month. You will be also leveled for the vacation bank you have already used.

This is how I think of it and it seems to work. Just tell them how many days of vacation you want. If 9 you extend your vacation from 7 to 9; they will take 15 subtract 9 and leave you 6. The question is where will those six show up. That is where you use the slide. I always waive the buffer because who knows where those days will end up.
