ALPA question for the FEDEX guys
#11
My dues are lower w/ALPA than they were with FPA. FPA had a contract negotion assesment about to kick in.
For the most part, being ALPA has been transparent to me. One caveat, the contract negotiation process went smoother than I had been expecting given the "parking lot" deal stories I had been hearing about.
I had been looking forward to 2010 with fewer of our "problem children" aboard the gravy train, but, guess I'll just have to wait another 5 years for most of our independent contractors to retire.

I'd never tell another airline pilot's how to vote in a union dispute. It's something that the USAir (the combined company not the 'original' one) pilots will have to work out on their own.
As I recall though, the premerger USAir pilots out number the premerger America West pilots by 3 -1 or so.
