It funny that the only fans of UPS are ones that DON'T work here! Kinda like when they put out the drivel that UPS is one the most admired companies in the world. They always leave out that they never ask current or former employees what they think of UPS! UPS is a very strong company but it's definately not a friendly place to work and probably never will be.

Default Upsco

UPSCO may be a lousy company to work for, however for those who are aspiring to get to UPS or just starting out like myself at age 44 would give almost anything to be in your shoes!!!

Browntail,

If you want to switch jobs, give me a call. My company makes UPS look awsome. One quick note, if you do want to switch prepare for the following:
-8 day trip that turns into 15 days a day before you are due to head home.
-very very low pay
-CS calling you in your hotel room after 8 hours and 1 minute of rest to tell you of a change in the trip. Of a trip put on your line that goes in two weeks, or the famouse one, "You are extanded!"
-CS calling you house looking for you(when you are a trip) and your wife telling them you are on a trip and they tell her no he should be home.
-Getting put in the middle seat on a 10 hour commerical flight to whereever. Or better yet, going to the airport to commerical home and findning out you ticket is stand-by on a flight that is over booked. You ticket has not been paid for.
-Getting to the hotel you are told you will stay at and there are no rooms!!

I can go on, but I need to get back to my painting!

I have seen all that happen at brown except the ticket was paid for, so don't feel like the Lone Ranger.

PAX2cargo,
This is what kills me here and on other sites from guys wanting more than anything to get hired at UPS. Everyone one of your examples that you sited happenes here, everyday, all day 24/7 365. Im not bull****ing you either. Every example except for the one where they called my house for a trip when I was already on a trip has personally happened to me. I have however heard from many pilots here that CS has called their home to contact them for a trip when the crewmember was currently on a trip.

UPS likes to call you for a JA or notification of line change between 0100 and 0400. Wakes up the eintire house so they can tell you that your 24/7 break has been changed from one day to another. If you dont answer and your on reserve, you git a UTP (Unable to Contact) on your line.

Ive said it before and Ill say it again, UPS makes money dispite themselves...

I say go ahead and get you brown on. If you want to work here so damn bad, go for it, just dont say you havent been warned...
