FDX-S.A. SIBA back to Boeing

The MIA Feeder flying is Florida & Caribbean bound. There are a couple of Convair operators (the all white ones / ACMI) that fly to other places out of MIA as well; where to, I'm not sure. There are dedicated ATR-72's in Brazil that fly within South America in FedEx Feeder livery. As far as ATR's leaving MIA, I doubt Boeings will replace that.

I thought I heard south cone, but who knows with the sodomizer. One of the school house dudes said he was going to do some of the first flights (June-ish) down there to make sure it's OK for us line weenies to go do it. Of course they'll need some long Brazil layovers to acclimate to the new routes.
p.s. I think I had a FH sighting in one of the DC-10 training rooms. Seems to be doing well.

I heard from an FAA guy on a boeing trip that maintenance in SA is getting refresher in the 27 and that we were going to get SIBA again soon. Too many isolated confirmations not to at least be a substantial rumor.

The South For Sure
Albie,
I was just in VCP last week and the ramp guys there said two 72's will be there in June to do the South Loop. What a great deal for you guys! The Brazilian 727 company that was doing it lost their certificate. For the senior dudes it will be a great deal. I bet some the old timers stick around in the back to hord yet another great deal.
