FDX R-Day CIC
For you CIC experts, a little help please...I bid to conflict training and split a block of R-days next month, but I'm still showing R-days remaining in the conflicted block Does the conflicted line usually go away after the conflict window closes, or does it take a little while for scheduling to catch up before the rest of the R-days disappear? Just wondering if I screwed up, or if I need to call someone before the View/Add window opens.
Thanks,
SG

R-days but does not split that block (i.e., it does not
leave an R-day(s) both before and after the recurrent
training), then only the R-days in conflict with recurrent
training shall be dropped as a phase-in conflict and
the pilot shall remain responsible for the remaining
R-days.
ii. If the pilot’s recurrent training splits a block of R-days,
then the entire block shall be dropped as a phase-in
conflict and the pilot shall not be responsible for any of
the R-days in that block.
SG was trying to do section ii, many guys are doing that in order to get CIC and pick up a good (relative term these days) trip in the view add window.

Spoke to Futures and they said my training did not split the block of R-days even though my training starts on the second day of my R-day block. I failed to take into account the 12 hour buffer before/after training which knocks out an R-day on both sides too. So I ended up with paragraph i) above, which leaves me with the rest of my R-days that I didn't want Lesson learned: give myself a 48 hour buffer next time. Hope this makes sense.

If you conflict with training and after they remove the R days considering the buffer and have a single day left on the front side , can scheduling still have the ability to "move a single R day" to the remaining days after the training?

They can only move an R day to earlier in the month and only to the end of a R day string.
Example: You have R days on 11 - 13 and 19-30. They can move an either the 19th or 30th R day to the 14th but not to the 10th.

CE told me it is one of the most frequently asked questions each month. Probably why I found it at number 3 on the FAQ page on the ALPA site - albeit well after I dorked it and only left one day like the contract reads.
