Replacing block reps

Albie, you are right, I have seen more emails from the union. One question though. Is there any talk of the MEC holding hub-turn meetings at Indy, Newark, Oakland, LA, or Alliance? If memory serves me correctly the last time I attended a union gathering of any kind in Indy was for a contract roadshow meeting. I don't believe we even had a meeting before the FDA LOA vote.
Just curious. Seems like a fairly large slice of the population to be avoiding.
BTW, thanks for stepping up!

I recently, and respectfully, asked my block rep when his term expires. He informed me that he is currently looking for his replacement. I coulda sworn this was an elected position, and not a "here, I'm finished, you hop in the saddle for a bit" position. WhiskeyTangoFox?

Replace Block Reps - How about replacing the entire MEC! I have a magazine each month and a pocket calendar to show for the thousands of dollars of union dues! More Wilson polls with the outcome already determined before the poll begins. An MEC leader that will threaten a dues paying member with legal action (when the member is correct) concerning the FDA! More communications from union leadership bragging about how proactive they are - in reality they are reactionary in nature. A basic lack of trust in our union leadership. Replace block reps - let us start at the top!

And what about the boldface lie concerning the "inevitability" of the Age 60 rule passing in one paragraph from our latest Magazine, then in the very next paragraph, an admission that ALPA changed its stance in opposition to the memberships' desires. An unbelievable admission of culpability couched in terms of "we saved you guys from yourselves." Pure Horse Manure!
Finally, if this Union takes my hard earned money and endorses in immoral candidate for President, like Hillary, then I too may have to cancel my membership on moral grounds. ALPA should not be in the business of endorsing political candidates, certainly not Presidential candidates whose job is far more important for the country than a particular stance on a particular labor issue!
Waiting patiently for something concrete out of this MEC and ALPA National while they continue to redistribute the wealth from the junior guys to the senior guys.

Speaking of that Wilson Poll. How do those calls come through on the caller ID? I screen all my calls and wonder if I am missing the Wilson Center because the caller ID does not say Wilson Center. If I remember correct, the Wilson Polls for the last contract came through with a "Washington DC" ID. Does FDXBUCK=TR?
I have always gotten a 301 area code for the wilson polls. Since I have family in MD I always pick up.

Made the mistake of not looking at area code or caller ID - should have looked first - will next time! Poll was determined before I had answered i.e. the way questions were presented!
