That's my theory. If true, I have to ask: Am I paying ALPA dues for this?

Here's what I think happened...

DW woke up one morning feeling a little arthritic type pain in his knees. JJ called and assured him, that if he could get retroactivity included in the Age65 legislation...He would let DW drink from his fountain of youth.

Notice how much more energy DW has had lately, with more and more communications and meetings? And, from the looks of all the updates we're getting lately...I think the whole MEC may have had a sip. In fact...What have they done with JJ? I hope they didn't get greedy, and take him out.

My theory on the LOA? They blew it!! That's all. They just blew it. I write it off to the Neg. Committee being victims of the Stockholm Syndrome. And, the membership being victims of dumassinosis.

That's my theory. If true, I have to ask: Why don't we have a qualification test, to vote?

Default bag stickers

anyone out there able to get some "RECALL DW NOW" stickers made? i would gladly pay for one and proudly display it on my bag.

what is sad is that i actually trust the company much more than DW right now. we really need aaron and vic to get in there and make OUR voices heard, not just "what is best for us."

anyone else know when the next election for the other block reps are? all those who just went with the "DW bandwagon" either need to resign, or get voted out.

maybe idiotic slogan "we're takin' it back" isn't so bad after all. just have to apply it to our own mec, not the companies.

JJ and FoxHunter have both been uncharacteristically quiet lately? I figure they're too busy gloating and high-5-ing (pun intended) each other to write and harass us?

I know the Subic pilots had the 32% stickers made, they were great. Hopefully we can get one of them to get it done. I also will take one of each.

I think I agree, no conspiracy. However, the move to an agency shop is what permits the evil emperor to make these decisions with impunity.

I think the MEC (and DW) are talking out their a$$es!! If all their (the company AND our union) BS about the company being overstaffed, then why 30+ extra Capt seats on this bid. In addition, if they believe it will reduce training costs, the why are we now going to have to train about 38 new DC-10 S/O that will then have to be excessed in the future. I believe JL (or some other 60+ guy) walked into PC's office and they decided the fastest way to get the over 60 S/O's back to the front was to cancel the previous bids and rebid the vacancies instead of having these age 60 S/O's waiting until we have another excess bid in which only a few would be able to move.

This is the "new communications" we're supposed to be thrilled about?? I hope the crewforce "burns at the stake" whoever shows up at the hub meeting. Maybe that would finally get their attention that the crewforce is sick of being lied to and not represented!!!

The BS about being overstaffed is just getting ramped up.

Sometime after this bid closes and training gets going, there will be excess bids. I believe DC10 CA and FO. Possibly 727 FO right after.

BTW, I don't think the 38 will ever get trained as DC10 SOs. Before they are needed the airplanes will go to mod. Just in case that changes they will have folks in line to get trained.

The real question is, will they be ABLE to be excessed to hold something they might not be able to hold now otherwise!?
