Just that the presence, both ahead and behind me, of so many older guys, who in the past would never have been hired at a major, slows down progression for those who followed either a civilian only or the classic "leave the military early" career path. Whining about it makes no more sense than whining about the FAR change.

PS - haven't been sitting around with my head anywhere. This is my 3rd airline in those 19 years.
Just so we agree it is not "speculation" that the rule change hurt some pilots. How much money and how big a QOL hits can be "speculation".
