Jeeze I hate it when my pants fall down in public, OK got me. The point I was so inelegantly trying to make is that there has to be a discussion and other lawyerly parameters met in consultation with the Association before they can do that.
"The Company shall notify meet and consult with the Association prior to making any offer pursuant to this paragraph."
Personally I don't know if that statement ties their hands or not from doing what they want anyway. We're talking about 200 guys here, this really seems like small potatoes to company the size of Fedex.
OK, pants are back on, thanks XprsFr8r.

200 guys - 200 families - 600 lives affected....
If you factor these pilots in at the higher 727 FO passover pay then you're looking at the cost of two new planes over the next three years.
SMALL POTATOES indeed for a company that just posted BILLIONS in revenue/profit last year. Mind you, it may not have made it to the level expected by management but it still was in the BILLIONS category.
I agree that I don't have the "big picture" of upper management but it seems to me that we should be gathering around these bottom 200 pilots and protecting them rather than throwing them under the bus.
(PS - I'm not in the bottom 200.)

Are you listening? The only ones who are talking about furloughs are the guys that are spinning themselves up on here. When the union and the comany says there's no furlough's in the forseeable future....I think it is time to relax.

Yes, but some people enjoy spinning themselves and others up. Otherwise they have no life!

Actually, I misread the post above me. I've edited it to reflect a more proper response. I agree, spinning yourself up isn't a good thing. I misread the above post and haven't had my first cup of coffee....can I get a mulligan?

No problem. Probably a little over the top myself. Just seems like a lot of folks are baiting others with the F word.
