REMINDER: MEM Joint Local Council Meeting Tomorrow, January 15
From the meeting agenda:
"Next, MEC Chairman Captain Dave Webb will discuss the state of the union".
What is he, the freaking President of the United States? WE know the "state of the union". We are the union. We've been trying to tell him the state of the union is a shambles. He should listen. He should do the right thing and step aside.
We have NO HOPE of any sort of unity in the upcoming contract negotiations under the current leadership. The by-laws are such that we can't get them out of there in time and he knows it. He knows if we had a vote on his continued service, he'd be gone by a landslide.
The top three need to step aside. If those guys concede to the truth, we might have a shred of a chance of some unity going forward. Without unity, we have ZERO leverage.

Brown . . . . you're venting, but you're absolutely correct. And it is a rather amusing choice of phraseology. But think positive. We've got new blood coming in with Albie and Vic. And 2 more with the new domiciles. BTW, EI withdrew his resignation in SFS so . . . . . it's a long tunnel, but is there light?

That's a train...
Okay, maybe not, and hopefully we are moving in the right direction, but it's really tough to look ahead two years from now and see our guys all pulling together as we'll need to with the current guys at the helm considering recent history. I hope I'm proven wrong.
Glad to see EI staying on.
Time to chill, I suppose...
