Another is for the MD-11 guys who live in Memphis. Bid reserve, don't do first fly and you have a really good chance of a lot of family time. Have a friend who does this and averages 6-7 fly days a month. Some people like this a lot.

I've been bidding MD-11 Capt RSV for the last 3 years. I never bid first fly, and I have never flown as few as 6-7 days, and the past 3-4 months I'll bet I averaged 50-60 credit hours. I wonder if your friend is being honest with you?

If he's talking about who I think is, my slumlord, which would be easy to guess since AA hasn't got that many friends , he actually got a 3N3 currency warning a couple months ago!

Slumlord?, man that place is palace, and in the best location in Memphis! If AA had any smarts he'd move over there too, but he is short on smarts.
The only months I've flown more than 50 hours I did some MU. I flew several days the week before Christmas and the month before I had a week long trip. In october I think I did 5 airport standbys (B-res) and never turned a wheel. My Jan is 134 credit hours right now and I bet I won't block over 25 hours (flight to CDG jacked it up some)
I'm lovin livin in Olive Branch.

I almost had my buddy in starting the end of this month for MD-11 training! He decided to stay out at Mud Island hot bunking it - better eye candy jogging along the river, he said!
