as soon as the union get's up I'm going to give them a ring and see why we can't have some kind of info put out on what was covered, minutes or something... this keeping things compartmentalized so the info never get's out is getting old.

Video tape them with good sound (raw footage) and post on the website in .mpg, .mov., .wmv formats. You can watch them from the computer or put it on your ipod. Heck why not a weekly FDX ALPA podcast?

Lawyers, Risk, and Plausible Deniability.

How long do you think before you would be seeing DW et al on YouTube ?

Wonder which category it would labeled?

We usd to have a daily IPA broadcast. We even built a fancy studio and hired a local newsguy to produce it (he had other duties too). It didn't take too long until people stopped watching it in favor of the transcript of it. It takes much less time to read than it does to watch.

For an example, here is what was covered in yesterday's:
***TODAY ON IPNN***

1. Electrical Fire Near SDF Training Center

2. Building Purchase Due Diligence Sub Groups at Work

3. Activate Your Voting Account

4. IPA Swearing-in: Brown/Trefes

5. MIA/SDF GMMs

6. IPA/CAPA Address EU Open Skies-Foreign Ownership

7. Have a Catering Question?

INDUSTRY NEWS

8. UPS’ Torok to Retire

9. Morgan Stanley on DHL

10. UAL Shares Fall: Pilots Actions May Be to Blame

It's Tuesday, January 8, 2008. Hello, I'm Shelley Catharine with your IPNN Update.

Yeah but do you guys have thousands of costing models to put a dollar value against company offers to help you negotiate a CBA?

PS If the answer is yes please sell them to ALPA before 2010; we seem to have lost ours.

PSS What Pilot actions?

One of our guys is the King Of All Spreadsheets, and he did the costing. We weren't too interested in costing versus the rest of the industry (except in some cases against you guys) because we knew that we would be way ahead of their concessionary deals. The funny thing is that the company didn't and we would often know something that we wouldn't tell them about said costs. They are finding out the hard way now where there costs are going up. Of course that doesn't seem to matter as often there solution to an increased cost is to just ignore that part of the contract, but that is the UPS way.

Here is the clip on UAL

{UAL SHARES FALL}
Shares of United parent company UAL Corp fell 5.9% Monday after industry analyst James Higgins of Soleil Securities Group said there is “rising evidence” that actions by pilots contributed to the carrier’s bad December in which it had double the industry average number of delays. Higgins downgraded the company, citing labor discord he said includes pilots calling in sick and working the minimum number of hours required. He says United pilots are upset with management over excessive pay for the company’s top managers after they were forced to take big pay cuts during bankruptcy proceedings. "The pilots' anger is manifesting itself in several ways," he said in a report to investors. "Most notable is a perfectly legal refusal to accept flying beyond amounts specified in their contract. We also believe UAL is facing increasing pilot sick calls, among other actions that hurt operations and earnings."

I guess unless you live in Memphis, showed up at 0030 local after 12 hours notice to attend the meeting, you don't have the need to know. What do you expect for $5000 in dues?
