Coming soon from a MEC near you!!!
In the interest of the crew force and the company the MEC has approved a LOA to mitigate the BLG reduction. The MEC has determined it is in the FedEx Pilot's best interest to approve contract relief to company allowing them to involuntary displace junior crewmembers to a FDA. This is in the best intrest of the "senior" crew force, but do not worry. The entire MEC anticipate the FDA's will go senior so this will be a non player.

From the policy manual:

g. Flight Pay Loss and Override
(1) Officers will bid in a pay only status.
(2) Officers will be compensated at the rate of ninety-eight (98) CHs per month,
calculated in accordance with Section 60.m. 2. b.(4) of ALPA policy, the MEC
having determined that this compensation falls within the parameters of this
ALPA policy. This compensation will be based on the bid status of the MEC
officer.
(3) Carryover will not be considered or paid for any pay only line bid.
(4) Officers will receive an override of:
MEC Chairman $1,500.00/month
MEC Vice Chairman $1,350.00/month
MEC Secretary/Treasurer $1,250.00/month

No changes to the MEC officers compensation if the company reduces the crewforce BLG as far as I can tell.

DW's yearly pay rate - $290,832
Wide body capt (15yr)after 4hr montly reduction in BLG = $194,880
Wide body F/O (6yr) with BLG redux - $117,600
727 S/O (3yr) with BLG redux - $71,400

Making $100k more than the average W/B capt, still getting a free dinner with company management and getting the tab with our dues = priceless..

I guarantee these BLG's will not be reduced.

Uhhh... I don't know. Maybe your $256,410/yr, that generated the $5000, in dues.

Considerably less than that, but what is your point? Maybe we make too much and should take a 50% paycut like everyone else has had to do. You and DW should pair up and work on the BLG reduction together.

Easy there, big stud. You asked "What do you expect for $5000 in dues". I was merely pointing out something you got for your $5000 in dues.

$256,410 is what you'd have to make, to pay $5000 in dues.

Ok it was $4000 and something. A bargain for what I am getting in return.
