Funny you should say that. I'm currently reading a book written about the life of Colonel John Boyd, an Air Force fighter pilot, who flew at the tail end of WWII and then again in the Korean Conflict. A fantastic read. Anyway, he was the guy who wrote and then published his energy-maneuverability (E-M) theory, using energy maneuvering charts that showed where US jet fighters had advantage over Soviet jets, and visa versa. He, almost singlehandedly rewrote the art of air combat with his aerial attack study. Anyway, he hated all swing wing fighters, especially the F-111 which he showed could be defeated by Migs, in any part of the Aardvark's flight envelope, and the F-14 Tomcat, which he referred to as the Tom Turkey. Just thought you'd enjoy the story. I never felt that way about the F-14, as it was always a nice BIG target, especially if he was foolish enough to slow up and tried to turn with you.

Besides just what do you mean by 1 v 1? Don't you really mean 2 v 1?, unless that Turkey has a single seat version that I'm not familiar with.
