FDX 777 bid

[QUOTE=AerisArmis;280982]You will see a large excess bid on the DC10 before any 777 bid. The 777 will not be available so my guess is that most will return to their previous window seat position. That will take care of any senior age 60+ guys.

My prediction--
Some senior A300 CAs will bid 777. The senior MD11 folks already have good schedules. Senior A300 international lines are not that good anymore. In addition, lots of folks don't like the MD11 airplane wise.
Perhaps some relatively junior MD11 types will go for the 777 if there are any slots left.
Depending on the DC10 displacement schedule they will bid the 777 too.
Over 60 folks going 777? I don't think that will be the trend. If not offered passover, they will go back to where they were CA.

You think they'll pass up the 777 and stay on the panel hoping for a 11/300 bid at some undetermined point? If the 777 does indeed get the 380 pay scale, do a quick comparision to the 15 year Capt and the 15 year WB S/O and ask yourself again if you think they will bid it if it is the only WB Capt seat on the bid.

They can just take the seat that empties out when an MD or Bus guy bids the 777. Unless the company decides not to fill secondaries (which would probably be the case in the DC10) they will have no problem bidding back to their original seat.

I'm sure there are video cameras watching his every move. Good luck GC

I predict a miraculous recovery for FH now that the legislation has been signed. Anyone want to buy a ticket in the pool that picks the day he comes back?

I think we should wait and see the LOA allowing these guys to bid back to a front seat. Then we can all make our predictions.

I wish I could arrange that miraculous recovery. For the next six weeks I'm not permitted to move my right arm using my right shoulder. I can use a rope and pully or my left arm to increase my range of motion. After these six weeks I have another four weeks of physical therepy. This would make a ticket in the pool for late February. I'll try my best to beat that date because I miss you guys so much but I'm told that is really tough to do. I have been able to run or go on the treadmill almost every day so I'll be able to keep up with guys when I return to work.
