Another different perspective on age 65.

Think of all the marriages that will be saved by guys not being able to upgrade. Most biatches won't divorce an S/O or F/O. They wait until you check out in the left seat.

Imagine that. Another snide comment by FH. How unlike him.

He's just a near-dead tool, anyway.

I think the company will do what all companies try to do...

...minimze costs, maximize profits and increase shareholder wealth.

They have a fidicuary responsibility to their shareholders to do this.

It's up to our union leadership (and us) to ensure they do it legally IAW the CBA, the new federal law, and without favoritism within management....the union has that responsibility, to ALL members.

hamfisted - great post!

something else that comes to mind - ipa can probably forget to get the mgrs on board now - see no reason why they'd ever want to vote yes to being on our seniority list now - they are already captains and would likely wait for years otherwise...

How the company, ALPA (and the FAA) interpret this thing is still up in the air and will be the subject of many meetings shortly. Differing opinions as to the meaning of parts of our CBA are nothing new. Of course, none of this negates the fact that however you interpret it, is the only correct way.
