Yes, we live charmed lives at FDX --- very charmed.

With Regard to DLAX's experiences in Dhaka... ummm... He spent more than 20 years serving his country on Active Duty .... you can figure out the rest. He is a stand up guy and a patriot and a voice of reason within our pilot group.

(sarcasm off)
How about we stick together, support the SIG and maybe try to make things better for the entire pilot group. This is not the time to just give up. We must persevere despite our current frustration.

You cannot compare a job at FDX to being on active duty....just let it go. AD is serving, FDX is a job.

Maybe. But the more senior lines are the ones least affected by the Optimizer. Our lines are not going to get any less stratified in terms of quality. One projection is for them to get more so. 13 hour allowable spread from highest to lowest is one indicator.

My hope is the company will offer passover pay to any over 60 retread out of the left seat when the law was signed. That would certainly take some of the sting out of this and watching FH recover from his well timed "shoulder injury" so he can poor coffee and check essential with it would be poetic justice IMO. Don't know if it is feasible, but I think most of the retreads woud go away much sooner without a window seat. Since nothing has gone well for junior pilots on this, I won't hold my breath.

They don't need to give them anything until there is a bid and someone junior to them is activated.

Sorry, both ALPA and the Company will abide by the contract. Good thing you're not holding your breath, hate to see you blue.
