FDX - Application Of New Law
#11
This is such crap. Can someone point out the specific language in the law and contractual sections that will enable the guys that already turned 60 to return to the front seats??? How are they getting away with this?
It is one thing that the age changed but having these re-treads come back to the front really fires me up. I'm ready to get a little lawsuit going myself on behalf of the majority that is getting screwed....I don't see why not, they have jammed this down our throats from the beginning against the will of the masses and I am p1ssed.
They have stolen career potential and salary straight from our pockets.
Furious young guy,

That is baloney because they are no longer a pilot. When a guy turned 60 or now 65 he should be put on the engineer seniority list and OFF of the pilot seniority list. Why is it that we have one giant seniority list? It should be the same here as it is at the other airlines where the guys that are already over 60 can't come back.
This will impact our careers far more than we can ever imagine. Isn't there almost 300 herpes guys in the back right now? And with all the other guys sticking around for another 5 yrs I might be 60 by the time I can upgrade.

From HR 4343, you can thank our union for these words:

The original words were to the effect that retired guys could come back. ALPA got the lesser of two evils in the language. Before we spin out of control, we should be thankful for that.
