When I used to do CDG a lot, I found a really great health club that had racquetball, squash, a nice indoor pool, large weight room, etc. The name of the club is Forest Hills City Form and the address is 85 Ave Francais Arago, in the Nanterre Prefecture. Their phone number is 01 47 29 91 91. I don't have directions from Le Meridien hotel, but from the Concorde you'd take the subway, Line 1 to La Defense and change to the RER A line to St-Germain (Direction). Get off train at NANTERRE PREFECTURE Station. From there it's about a 5 minute walk. A little out of the way, but a great gym. Or perhaps you could take the underground over to the Concorde and use the gym there. Just a thought.

A good dance club nearby. forgot the name of it. Does the Le Meridian-CDG still have a cigar/jazz club inside. It did back in my TWA days...when Orville, Wilbur and I used to fly together.

CDG has the Concorde La Fayette for long layovers and - no - the Club Med gym is not lame, but rather upscale in its fitness choices. Ask for a 1-day pass at the front desk (the gym entrance is outside, to your right slightly then down some stairs).
The Concorde is for short layovers (24hours) and the Montparnasse Le Meridien is for long layovers. Never used the gym at this Le Meridien.

Another bad thing about the Montparnasse Le Meridien is you don't get a free breakfast! The lobby bar, even during happy hour, is a lot more expensive than the James Joyce with our discount. It (the hotel) is near the Latin quarter.

You bus guys are getting screwed. The Concorde (which I hate and am typing from right now) is our short layover hotel. Who works out in Paris? To much to drink! and see.

The Concorde is for short layovers, roughly 36 hours or less. We are now staying at Le Meridian Montparnesse instead of the Westin (Intercontinental) for long CDG layovers. I agree though, the Club Med gym is great.

Yes ... I forgot the long(er) CDG layovers were also at a "Le Meridian" like Milan. Maybe Le Meridien translates to the hotel without a good gym?

Okay, my original reply last night was removed by a moderator cuz' i called some of you purple douche bags for your off target snide replies. my mistake. i also thanked oldfr8dog for his short, informative reply......lets try another one. Anybody know of any CDG bars to watch NFL games for the next 6 weeks. I know i can slingbox the games, but i kinda of enjoy getting out of the room. Thanks again to the UPS crew who showed me the pub showing NFL in CGN. Great spot!

How was oldfr8dog's reply any different than mine? I said the gym was lame. Where are these off target snide replies?
