Can anyone give me some basic schedules for different aircraft and positions at UPS? Thanks

Take your pick. Too many to list. 75 domestic=mostly night flying. Lots of west coast stuff. 3-4 leg nights, depends on how senior you are is what you can get. Just like any other airline. Most of the day flying though, is gone.

what do you mean "most of the day flying is gone"? Do you mean just on the 757? What fleet is doing it?

airbus=?
757 domestic- week on week off available, you can do turns in and out of SDF and home every night/day if you want
747=?
MD-11= lots of interesting round the world flights and large international destinations, but this will be diluted with more domestic flying as the 747-400's come on line
757z- you name it. Week on week off, three on 4 off, two on/repeat/ then couple off, 12 on 16 off. Mostly international but more and more domestic in the bid pack until it replaces the airbus in Europe which should begin this summer

Perhaps someone else can fill in the question marks above, and if you search the archives I think you will find more detailed descriptions

Did you just wake up?? 75 SDF domestic day flying is almost gone. The 75 will lost more in 08 to the MD. For years now the 300 has taken a lot of it. Not saying it is all gone, but there ain't much.

Default Not to change the subject...

Anyone know what aircraft operate out of MIA and how long it would take to get a basing there?

757RR & 767 ...

If you are hired into the base, it is only a day ... but if you are waiting to bid it, join the crowd ...

Just ask FliFast and me

767 Pilot,

I wonder with the Shanghai hub next Fall if the total Asia hours flown (if you can compartmentalize it) will increase. More importantly, will the MD11 ANC Int'l hours remain close to what they are ?

I ask this rhetorically...I know the crystal ball is down at the bowling alley.

I'm a European specialist so I can't help you. Until we get more airframes, I'd say our expansion will be somewhat limited. Did you see the letter in the flight times where the IPA is asking the company how they plan to handle the routes in Europe that will become available for IPA crews in the spring with Open Skies? That will probably be our next battle.
