Not so fast on the return to 'Cargo'

My prediction would be that the exact same things that have been offered unilaterally by the company are going to be what the side letter is about, nothing more. If anything else is offered that differs from what we have, I would think that the whole bid would have to be re-done. I think negotiations might not be the correct term....
Let's hope not.

It would be sad if we only included what the company has offered in "sweeteners"
Either way, sweeteners or better, we should vote on it again. I think the membership is smarter about the positives and negatives of the LOA.
If it is materially changed, a new vote is the best idea.

Pireps indicate guys are going in trying to bring some things into the mix not currently offered by company.
Contact your block reps and give some input. What do you want in exchange for side letter issues?
There is some discussion on this on a FDX pilot only board somewhere else. Go take a peek and add your two cents.

Tony is willing to share info at times at the Fedex pilot section at PPW, where he is a moderator. You have to sign up and give him an employee number, but you'll find folks will post things there and share ideas a bit more openly since its not open to non-FDX pilots.
I'll tell you flat out I don't always agree with TonyC. For some reason he doesn't call me up and ask me every morning what I think he ought to do that day. Despite his failure to bend to my will, and some long conversations about the LOA, I still think he does his very best to do the best he can for us. How we get there, however, we sometimes debate.
I gave up on the ALPA boards when they were scrubbed clean after the LOA. There were several threads that I would have liked to reread and readdress, but alas...they are gone. I talked to the Sec/Treasurer about it and he said they are routinely updated by national. Okaaaay..... Not going to call anyone on it but I will say I no longer post anything there as replies and info and "disappear" like political adverseries in a third world country.
A side note...I used to be a moderator at PPW but chose to stop due to time constraints and the desire to not have to "moderate" my own posts. That board, however, requires your ID. You don't have to post it--but the moderator will know who you are. Going "neiner neiner neiner that guy sucks..." also won't work...you'll get out the door ASAP. However, for some conversations OFF the ALPA boards and AWAY from the general public, I think its about as good as you can get. I prefer APC for general banter and cross flow as they have more members and the UPS guys here, but each board can serve its purpose.
