16th and 17th, not one trip or asby. Not one, nada, nothing, yet scheduling won't let you drop either day, and there's 28 open positions on both days.

I've said it before. If there is no AVA, then all R day moves and drops should be approved.

HH for Block Rep.

Thread drift warning.

PS the vote for LEC 22 closes the 10th. And according to one candidate you can still change your vote!

I had a buddy move the the 24th and 25th to the 15th and 16th

I didn't think they'd let anyone move or drop a holiday but they did. ****

There's probably a more likelihood they would need him on the 15th and 16th than on the 24th or 25th. So it's to the company's advantage, thus the approval.

Lucky dude. I was able to get the 24th moved, but it doesn't look like the 25th is going to happen, at least not now.

I haven't had an r-day move approved in ANC for several years. Any day any month, it doesn't matter what open time is, it's disapproved.

It has always been possible to move a trip or R-day off a holiday (if Skeds is in a holiday spirit) . The only restrictions are against dropping trips over Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, and New Years Day. The key is to get your request in as early as possible when Open Time comes out and the guys on reserve haven't shuffled too many days yet!

Agreed! When I was on reserve, my first schedule modification was always R Day moves, submitted automatically by Fastbid, at the exact moment that open time opened. Any attempted move after that was usually denied.

One benefit of being in an overmanned seat. Moved R days to get the week of Christmas off.

Happy Festivus to the rest of us!!!
