Default Trip Trades Taking a Long Time??

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed how long it is taking VIPS to process trip trades or trip drop requests? I put several trades in at 9:00pm eastern last night and it's now after 7:AM the next morning and still no notifications. I checked and the requests are still in the system waiting to be processed. What gives? I thought this whole process was a bunch of ones and zeros flying around by electricity?

Looks like going rate is 6.5 hrs. Looks like the control freaks win again. Either that, or maybe they upgraded the trading system to Vista

Me too. 10 hours here. Question for you guys though. If me and another pilot are swapping lines, does just one of us need to put in a trip trade request? (swap with another pilot) I know there's not an option to swap lines on VIPS but he just put SWAP OFF on his trips and SWAP ON to my trips for Dec. Do I need to do the same? Forgive me if this is a stupid question.

I couldn't even get into VIPS for the longest time. "VIPS server too busy" is the message that I kept getting. I hope that the system that deals with customers is better than the one that manages our internal stuff.

How much money does this company make every quarter? I guess in the infrastructure versus bonus competition, bonuses win every time.

Was on Airport Stby last night until 2am. Talked to crew scheduling. They said part of FOCUS was down last night from 6pm until I was leaving at 3am. They are doing all trip trades manually. In one hour at 8pm, they had over 1200 trade/makeup/drop requests. Not defending them but seems legitimate.

Question is how many times in a career can stuff like this happen and we still consider it a coincidence?

I had a trip trade approved that got submitted at 6:02 MST. The next one submitted was an hour later and still no notification. There are a lot of requests, over 6300 from my first to last 10 hours later if go strictly by crew notification #'s. I realize there a lot of other reasons for crew notifications.
