An Open Letter to Dave Webb regarding the FDA and Bid Results

I am telling you boys there is more to the story.....my understanding is there was a lot more of an exchange than the e-mails imply. We are reading the last 20% of the exchange.
I will say again, unless we get the other side, this is just mental masturbation.

You believe incorrectly. The fine was for not returning to work quickly enough after the sickout. It was not for the sickout. Judge Joe didn't like the rate at which guys cleared sick or the the way APA leadership said to return after his ruling.

The American airlnes sickout was about a lot more than that. What it is really about is the complete degradation of the unions bargaining leverage.
After years of bargaining for a new contract and following the complete railway labor act negotiating process up to cooldown and strike. Clinton sent them all back to work minutes after the strike started. When negotiations resumed they still were going nowhere and new issues were added to the table mainly Reno Air and RJ scope stuff. So...the company had them by the short hairs, they knew that the president would not let them strike ,negotiations were stalled indefinetly so the union came up with alternative means of voicing their opinion...calling in sick. Of course the company lined up Judge Joe who ended up fining the pilots union for not coming back to work after he ordered them back.
But the main issue here is the fact that the union did everything under legal means to negotiate a fair contract and the company and the courts took away all of their leverage. And even though they were fined big bucks they had leverage for the new negotiations and it was amazing how fast negotiations resumed after the pilots came back to work.

Your "understanding" is completely incorrect.
I know the person, TA, who wrote this letter very well, and I assure you there were NO more emails and/or dialog than what we've seen here. This is NOT the last 20% of the exchange. This is literally 100% of it.
The guy who wrote this didn't make himself anonymous. Go ask him; I'd. I'm sure if you asked him yourself, he'd tell you the same thing he told me. Those 4 emails are the COMPLETE, as well as only, exchange between him and Webb

I don't claim to know anything, I just am trying to ask and get answers about this before I draw a conclusion....Fair enough?

Fair enough in wanting to be clear about stories about SFS guys talking to DW.
There's only two cases that I know of: One, conversations between EI and DW. And two, this 4 email conversation between TA and DW.
I asked the guy and can attest to the fact that the 4 email conversation between TA and DW is just that, 4 and only 4 emails. No words, face to face, or on the phone, were ever spoken. Just those 4 emails.
