777 Pay?

777 Pay?
Has anyone heard anything about new 777 pay rates yet? Are we negotiating new rates? I'm sure the company isn't going to just scratch out A-380 and write in 777 in the CBA. I think this will be the next big issue we will face. As we approach our next new posting, the 777 will probably be on it. I hope we have a pay rate in place that will attract the senior pilots on the list....or I guess we could just add the 777 to the wide-body pay rate list and have DW and his MEC convince us that it's a good deal some how. Or, maybe we'll just have a Boeing pay rate! yea, that's the ticket. 777, 757 and 727.

All I'll say is, and it's been said before, anyone who has the 777 in their standing bid without the pay being resolved is doing a disservice to the negotiating committee and the entire pilot group!
Don't bid it until they pay us the deserved rate for it!!!

Perhaps...based on another thread's DW comments, we should say: "Who cares, I'll never be senior enough to hold it anyway..."
However...it IS in all our interests to get a solid rate for the thing. Some conspriracy theorists have said maybe the NC rolled over and gave milk on the FDAs so the company would pay the 380 rates. BC himself said the company had refered to the 777 as a replacement for the 380, therefore the rate should apply.

Come on Albie, that is just more evidence of how far out of touch BC has become. There is no way the company will just pen and ink the pay rate, we will pay dearly for any increase in our top pay rate.

If you do a search about this here on APC you'll see that I've been barking up this tree for months. A resolution was presented, but not passed, many months ago at an LEC 79 (Anchortown) meeting.
We need to push the MEC into this one. Without member passed resolutions to force the issue, we may not see a member ratified agreement.
I, for one, am sick of getting told what I get without my input.

The 777 pay rates are the same as the A-380 rates which falls under the Ultra Long Range category. I thought this was already a dead issue, where has everyone been?

For what it's worth, I'm sure it's being worked on if it isn't finalized yet. You can bet this is considered a "cornerstone" issue.
