To my surprise (and disbelief) I just heard ONT might see some shrinking, anyone else heard that rumor? It doesn't make sense to me and personally I don't believe it but wasn’t there some kind of 'big fish' meeting in ONT in the last week or so? I hope this rumor is not true, anyone?

That would be great if we actually had management guys quitting left and right.
On another note, did y'all see the MRB on Military Leave? It kind of made me laugh...."try to schedule your mil leave on days off" LMAO! Uh, ok UPS, why don't you raise first year pay? LOL!

I'm on first year pay, and I am trying to NEVER drop a trip. I'm so strapped for cash that I try to do all of my UPS line AND as much ANG duty as possible (I work approx 26-28 days per month doing this). But it is IMPOSSIBLE to get a 56-day line that does not conflict with AT LEAST one UTA at my seniority level. When I try to trade those conflicting trips--I'm denied! They can suck it up, or try to accommodate--their choice! Thanks for the MRB that tells me your system is inadequate, UPS--we already know.

Wouldn't recommend doing this. I know some people that have done this as well. It's abusing a system that was put into place to protect people that were treated unfairly for being in the reserves.
