Or kill the 100mile rule and let folks live in England and just take the train thru the chunnel when they work.
(...it may solve the "no English speaking" public schools issue too)
What happened to the "big boy" concept of just expecting guys to show up to work on time regardless of their commute?
(...It is amazing what we agreed to in this LOA)

Again well said.
I am still amazed that the NC and the 11 members of the MEC thought it was acceptable to subject us to 3 months involuntary service in exchange for really no gains in the rest of this LOA.
The only thing more amazing is that all 11 of them are still in office. You would think some of them representing the Jr. blocks would have at least offered their resignation. Instead the only one who stood up for his block is gone.

OR, I can ask permission from my CP....
Sorry --- not buying the idea that I have the personal freedom to live anywhere.

Not for long...LEC 22 has all three Block Rep positions up for grabs. We seem to have some good candidates who are willing to "call a spade a spade". Let's hope the MEC "leadership" doesn't beat them into submission as it appears has happened to the current regime.
This would've required your Block Rep to something more than co-sign a letter by your LEC chairman every 4-6 months. AH...Free Block 7 now!!!

DLax,
as a rough WAG, I'm guessing that the money out of my pocket is less living in the UK and not paying for Intl school than living w/in 100 NM of CDG and getting rental assistance.
Shoot, Chunnel times are 2+15 from London to Paris-Nord.
And sorry, still think you are free to live anywhere you want. There is an economic incentive to live near Paris to get some $$$ from the company. But, if a suitable place in Paris results in an out of pocket expense greater than that of living more than 100 NM from Paris.....just seems a better way to go IMHO. And, might get the bucks anyway if I can make a good enough argument to "O"
Being penny smart and Pound foolish, is no way to go through life.
