I have no idea why some union guys haven't stepped down earlier...I guess its either a very cozy gig or they honestly feel like they are doing the very best for the crew force. I would have quit before I signed an LOA that allowed involuntary separations from family for 3 months (or more if one bid period included a 5 week bid month). That's such a huge departure from ANY work rules we have ever had here--and nobody batted an eye.
Regardless, I'd be cool with it if DW and the crowd actually paid some attention to the interests of the majority of their constituents. I'm all for ALPA, but this is a bad trend...

It's obvious that you weren't around in the "give us a year" era. I'm still passing blood from that load of crap. Our current problems with the MEC chairman pale in comparison.
