That's such a huge departure from ANY work rules we have ever had here--and nobody batted an eye.
It's called being out of touch. It's hard to know--regardless of intentions--what's going on on the other side of the world when the closest you come to flying is doing 53 in a 45 driving home down Poplar.

Regardless, I'd be cool with it if DW and the crowd actually paid some attention to the interests of the majority of their constituents. I'm all for ALPA, but this is a bad trend...

QUOTE-We need stability in our offices. At the same time, I've said publically we are WAY beyond stable now, and instead seem to have an elite professional cadre of union folks who do all they can to promote their own agendas, stifle outside input, and keep the doors closed as much as possible.

Stability means getting rid of ALPA and their national agenda which is diametrically opposed to the vast majority of FDX pilots! What good would it do for a motivated guy like Albief15 to go knock heads with ALPA national? And then, as Albief15 says, quit when he gets nowhere with ALPA? LOA, Age 60, Pay For Training, partying with our money...When is enough enough?QUOTE

It's obvious that you weren't around in the "give us a year" era. I'm still passing blood from that load of crap. Our current problems with the MEC chairman pale in comparison.

Interesting...Boobie Lightpurple reappears as a PPP and uses "MD-11" as his crew position. Very clever...in a Maxwell Smart kind of way.

You got that right!!!
