"on file" to "active"
I filled out the on line app. when the recent window opened and when I finished it, my status showed "on file". Sometime in the last week, my status changed to "active". I assume this a good thing, but how do I know if I need to take the psych. assessment? Do I need to keep checking my on line app. or do I get an email or call? Thanks for any info!

Be sure to check that your spam filter doesn't hide it from you. I think I heard of that happening to someone.

- Application is "Active"
- Computer/Hr selects you for the next step
- Psychological assessment, computerized test around 400 questions true/false, once you submit you know instantly if you passed or failed.
- If you pass assessment Hr contacts you for an Interview how long seems to differ from case to case?
- Interview consists of a Sim ride (727 Lately) and Interview with Hr and Pilot rep (Low stress).
- Wait for the Call Yes or No
- Yes move on to whiz quiz and background checks
- everything good get base, class date and equipment type offer
This is how it went for me
5 months in the active pile, 19 days from assessment to class date I guess the stars lined up!!

I am looking for the exact e-mail address or domain the psych test e-mail is sent from, so I can configure my spam and junk mail filters. Does anyone of you have it? I can guess it is UPS.COM, but I would like to hear it from someone who actually got the e-mail. I know my IP filters junk mail without any notification. Is UPS pretty persistent if you don't reply, do they shot-gun it out to many recipients at a time? Any horror stories?

So I guess they stopped doing it about a year or so ago. You will be asked to do a pee test at a clinic close to where you live and that's about it - as long as you have your 1st class medical. Vive La Common Sense...
Opps, I just "spoke" French, gotta get some Listerine....

Grumpy,
The emails I received for the assessments came from @ups.com addresses.
The first one,
"We have reviewed the resume you submitted on our website. Based on your qualifications, we would like for you to proceed to the next step in our selection process which involves completing two on-line assessments. These assessments will determine which applicants are invited for an on-site interview. You will soon receive an email with the subject line that reads "Invited to Complete Process". This email contains the information needed to complete the assessments.
Good luck,
UPS
Flight Operations HR"
And the second,
"Thank you for completing the application for the UPS pilot position. We would like for you to continue to the next step in our selection process which involves completing two on-line assessments. These assessments will determine which applicants are invited for an on-site interview. Please click on the link below to receive instructions and continue. Both assessments should take no more than an hour to complete."
After completing the assessments it said,
"Thank you for completing this assessment process and we look forward to speaking with you soon. Recruiters routinely review assessment results and you will be contacted directly. Thank You for your continued interest in UPS."
That was back in Feb but I'm not available for training until Nov. I'm hoping for a phone call to interview soon.
